Sore, red eyes
When eyes are sore, red, runny or just don’t feel right, it’s important to rule out underlying issues. We can assess the cause of your sore eyes and prescribe therapeutic medication where necessary to reduce symptoms. There’s no need to wait for the GP or specialist appointment – we get your eyes on the road to recovery quickly.
A poke in the eye with a blunt stick is no laughing matter
Eye injuries need speedy and specialised attention. If left untreated, they can lead to potential vision loss. Symptoms such as pain, redness, a scratchy feeling could mean that there is a risk of inflammation and infection. Don’t delay in seeking treatment. We will assess and treat your eye injury and should it be necessary, we’ll refer you to an ophthalmologist for further investigation.
Dry eyes can be watery too!
Red, irritated and gritty-feeling eyes which are often very watery can mean you are suffering from dry eye syndrome. Too much screen time on computers and digital devices, together with environmental factors can contribute to symptoms. The hormonal changes of pregnancy and menopause can also affect your eyes, so too can ageing. We can diagnose and help you manage your dry eye symptoms with a range of specialised treatment options.
Partnering with you in eye health management
As your partners in your eye health, we can assist in the co-management of eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and macular degeneration. We devise treatment management plans in conjunction with your treating ophthalmologist and provide ongoing support and care plus additional specialist referral if required.
